The app
What is Trivia Blitz?
Trivia Blitz is a trivia game for iOS and Android focused on deep, niche themes — the kind of trivia fans actually want to play. You can play solo or with up to 5 friends in a real-time multiplayer room.
Is it free?
Yes. The core game and a set of free categories are available at no cost, forever. Optional paid theme packs (like dedicated movie, book, or sports themes) are available as one-time purchases — no subscription, no ads.
What platforms does it support?
iOS (iPhone and iPad) and Android (phones and tablets). A web version is not available — the game is exclusively a native app.
Do I need an account to play?
No. You can play entirely anonymously. An account (via Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google) is optional and only required if you want your scores and purchases to follow you across multiple devices.
What age group is the app for?
Trivia Blitz is rated for ages 13 and up. It does not contain content specifically designed for children.
Multiplayer
How does multiplayer work?
One player creates a room and receives a 4-character code. Other players enter the code to join — up to 6 players total. Everyone answers questions simultaneously on their own device; scores update in real time with speed bonuses for fast correct answers.
Do all players need the app installed?
Yes — everyone needs the Trivia Blitz app. iOS and Android players can be in the same room together.
Do all players need to own the same theme pack?
Only the room host needs to own the paid theme. Guests can join and play any room the host creates with their unlocked themes.
What happens if I disconnect mid-game?
Reopen the app. If your room is still active, you will be reconnected automatically and the latest game state will be restored. The game can continue even if a player temporarily disconnects.
Purchases
How do I buy a theme pack?
Tap any locked theme in the theme picker to see its description and price. Tap "Unlock" to purchase through the App Store or Google Play. Purchased themes are available immediately after the transaction completes.
My purchased theme isn't showing as unlocked. What do I do?
Go to Settings → Restore Purchases in the app. If that doesn't resolve it within 30 seconds, force-quit and reopen the app. If the issue persists, contact support with your Apple/Google account email and the theme name.
Can I use my purchases on multiple devices?
Yes. Sign in with the same Apple ID (on iOS) or Google Account (on Android) used at the time of purchase, then use Restore Purchases. For cross-platform sync (e.g., iOS purchase accessible on Android), sign in to the app with Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google on both devices.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are processed by Apple or Google, not by us. See our Refund Policy for step-by-step instructions. If you had a technical issue, contact us first — we may be able to resolve it without a refund.
Privacy & account
What data does the app collect?
See our full Privacy Policy. The short version: we collect anonymised game activity, crash reports, and purchase records. We do not sell data or show ads.
How do I delete my account and data?
In the app: Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile and anonymises your leaderboard entries. Purchase records are pseudonymised for tax/accounting purposes. See the Privacy Policy §8 for full details.
